Hitler lui-même a innové sur le réseau routier en Septembre 1933: dire la foule à "se mettre au travail" et dans une année de construction était en cours dans 11 grands corridors. La propagande qui a suivi appelé «routes du Führer" comme un moyen de relier l’autoroute achèvement avec un régime nazi efficace.
